Smoke Single Malt Cobbler

The name is referring to "cobbles" of ice, which this cocktail was traditionally built over. In this delicious and fresh version you get sweetness, bitterness, and smokiness from Stauning Smoke.


  • 2 oz. (50ml) Stauning Smoke Single Malt Whisky
  • 3/4 oz. (20ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz. (20ml) Grand Marnier liquor
  • 2 dashes of Angustura Bitters
  • Ginger ale


  1. Mix: Mix whisky, lemon, liqueur and bitter in a shaker. Add ice and whisky and shake well.
  2. Serve: Strain into a highball glass full of crushed ice. Top with a ginger ale and stir gently.
  3. Garnish (optional): Add wedge of lemon and twig of mint. Serve with a straw.
